Frequently Asked Questions

We know you have lots of questions. Here are some common ones that we get.

Is therapy right for me?

Therapy can be helpful for many people. There doesn't have to be anything wrong. Therapy of course could be great for someone to work on a specific issue but could also be great for an outside perspective, self-exploration and eventually healing.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

I offer Telehealth sessions (virtual) via Simple Practice. At this time I am not seeing clients in person.

Isn't therapy the same as talking to friends/family?

Not quite. The difference is that a therapist is unbiased and see things from a set of fresh eyes. They can support in ways that friends/family can't. Also, therapy is confidential, and a therapist will never share your information with anyone else.

What is your current availability?

I currently offer appointments Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 4 pm, Friday, 9am - 1pm, and every other Saturday 9am - 12pm. Eastern Standard Time

How does it work? How are sessions structured?

Therapy usually starts with a consultation. Consultation is usually 10-15 minutes where I get to know you and you, me. We review logistics, how I practice and you get an opportunity to ask me any questions you have.

Sessions are structured by an intake (75+ minutes), followed by subsequent sessions (45 minutes). In the first session, we determine your goals for therapy and a treatment plan. The length of therapy is dependent on the client.
